DERNS-FC70 is a high performance steel designed for making smart tools, dies and moulds, combining very high thermal conductivity and mechanical properties, excellent wear resistance and through-hardenability, good machinability and good polishing, coating and texturing properties. Thanks to its unique combination of properties, it enables to increase the cooling rate, shorten the cycle time and improve the quality of produced part. Meanwhile, it provides outstanding dimensional stability during age hardening and thereby enables excellent opportunities to considerably reduce tool manufacturing cost and lead time to production.
